NFL Power Rankings: Bills & Chiefs Sit Atop the League

The Bills and Chiefs have yet to be de-throned from atop the NerdBall NFL Power Rankings. Here's how the teams stack up after two weeks of games.

Welcome to the first week of the NerdBall NFL Power Rankings. We love data here, and produce many statistics to help you identify those edges needed to help you win your fantasy leagues and make money playing DFS or betting on NFL games. One of the key stats we bring to you are out team NEFF ratings, a statistical analysis of team performance that allows us to rank the 32 NFL teams to show you who’s statistically good (and not so good).

In these power rankings which will come out each week, I am going to take those NEFF rankings and look to layer on my own tape review of each team to give an alternative view of how the teams in the NFL should be ranked, with some short commentary over why the teams are ranked where they are.

Without further ado, let’s get into my NFL power rankings heading into Week 3.

Buffalo Bills2-0111The Bills have started like a train and are far and away the best team in the NFL through two weeks
Kansas City Chiefs2-03321The offense isn't missing a beat without Tyreek Hill and have made scoring points look easy so far
Tampa Bay Buccaneers2-08222The slow start to the Bucs' offense is more than complimented by a suffocating defense
Philadelphia Eagles2-05223The Eagles look dynamic on offense so far
Los Angeles Rams1-1242322A bounce back win and despite a slow start, I feel confident the Rams are still the best team in the division
Miami Dolphins2-013626A surprise package for sure, though the Bills in Week 3 will be a proper test of their squad
Los Angeles Chargers1-14912Arguably outplayed the Chiefs on TNF but the loss in division hurts the Chargers early on
Baltimore Ravens1-111724The loss to the Dolphins will be a wake up call to get the defense back on track
San Francisco 49ers1-12153With Jimmy G now under center, I don’t think the 49ers miss a beat and will be a tough test for anyone
Minnesota Vikings1-1131719A setback vs the Eagles but still the division favories for me
Green Bay Packers1-119129Back on track against the Bears but just behind the Vikings through two weeks
New Orleans Saints1-1171815A tough loss to the Bucs in Week 2 but the Saints will bounce back
Cleveland Browns1-18517The heartbreaking loss doesn't change that the Browns will be pushing for the playoffs this year
Detroit Lions1-110431if nothing else, the Lions will be a fun watch in 2022 based on the first two weeks
New England Patriots1-17136I'm on the fence with the Patriots so far, though the defense has been as good as I envisioned
Jacksonville Jaguars1-16114A strong performance vs the Colts, but I need to see more to move them further up
Arizona Cardinals1-1231032Kyler's performance gives me hope the Cardinals can build on their unlikely Week 2 victory
New York Giants2-024249Unbeaten but unconvincing so far for me, though there's an edge to them they've not shown in recent years
Dallas Cowboys1-115249Defense looks fierce but I think they struggle until Dak returns
Denver Broncos1-115205Can the Broncos overcome their early coaching woes and compete?
Pittsburgh Steelers1-1182014How far will the Steelers go before unleashing Kenny Pickett to revive a lacklustre offensive offering
Cincinnati Bengals0-2282620A rough start for the Bengals but they could be 2-0 with small changes in Luck. They need to keep Burrow upright to get back on track.
Washington Commanders1-112825Frisky on offense with lots of weapons but defenisvely look worrying so far heading into back to back divisional games
New York Jets1-1211526Incredible victory but can they follow it up against the Bengals?
Atlanta Falcons0-2261428Two narrow losses but the Falcons look better than expected
Las Vegas Raiders0-2311929Their capitulation against the Cardinals has me worried how competitive the Raiders are going to be
TennesseeTitans0-2312830I want to think they'll get back on track but the blowout loss to the Bills raised a lot of questions about the Titans moving forward
Houston Texans0-1-120277Tough to beat but uninspiring offensively through two weeks.
Carolina Panthers0-221307A worringly poor offensive output through two weeks has me rating them as the worst team in the NFC South
Seattle Seahawks1-1283216The Week 1 victory pasted over the cracks of an offense with a very low ceiling
Indianapolis Colts0-1-1303117The Colts have been a mess through two weeks. Can they get their receivers healthy and on the field to support Matt Ryan?
Chicago Bears1-1272912Week 1 was an aberration in poor weather as the Bears are clearly the weakest team in the NFL
