Each week I pick a couple of my favorite NFL player prop bets over on DraftKings Sportsbook, track my progress, and see how I do at the end of the year. Here are my best picks for Week 7.
We had a mediocre Week 6, I’m sorry to say. Justin Herbert went way, way under the 292.5 yards passing, so I missed on that one. Najee Harris came through, though, hitting the over on 71.5 rushing yards for us. Another split week brings us to 9-3 on the year, and again, as of the writing of this piece on Thursday night, we have some pretty slim pickins on props from the DraftKings Sportsbook.
No matter, here we go!
Darrel Williams, 56.5 rushing yards vs Titans — OVER
Williams had no trouble stepping into the lead back role with Clyde Edwards-Helaire moving to the Injured Reserve list. Williams posted 62 rushing yards on 21 carries in the Chiefs 31-13 stomping of the Washington Football Team.
This week the Chiefs host the Titans who are smack-dab in the middle of the league when it comes to rushing yards ceded to opposing running backs. With Williams being the only ground-game in town, and the Chiefs comfortable with him getting a feature-back workload, I think Williams will easily top this measly 56 yard mark.
Aaron Rodgers, 255.5 yards passing vs Washington — OVER
Rodgers has had surprisingly low passing yard numbers to begin the season. While that 255.5 yard mark sounds like nothing for the great A-A-Ron, he’s only surpassed that total 2 times in the 6 games played so far.
The Packers facing Washington is a juicy matchup, though. The Washington Footballonians are giving up the most passing yards to opposing QBs, only holding Daniel Jones under the 256 mark. Washington hasn’t played a murderer’s row of QBs either, with guys like Matt Ryan and Jameis Winston going well over 250 against them. We’ll see if I get burned betting another QB total this week.
