Welcome to Week 7 DFS. In these weekly articles, I’m going to look at three players with similar salaries on DraftKings and pick the player I think you should add to your fantasy football lineup for the Sunday main slate.
Last week, I picked between Michael Pittman, DK Metcalf and Gabe Davis as second tier wide receiver options. I opted for DK Metcalf as I felt the match up vs the Cardinals was set up to produce big numbers for Metcalf (and Tyler Lockett). That didn’t work however as the Seahawks leant on the run game and dominated from the start to keep the Cardinals to just 9 points, with Metcalf scoring just 5.4 Points. If you went agains my advice and drafted Pittman or Davis then you were money as Pittman caught 13 passes for 134 yards and 29.4 points, and Davis had 74 yards and a touchdown for 16.4 points.

Onto Week 7 and this week we’re looking at three top end running back options, all of whom have 30+ point days on their 2022 DFS resume.
Nick Chubb @ Baltimore Ravens ($8,000)
The 2022 rushing leader is coming off his worst outing of the season last week where the Patriots held Chubb to just 56 rushing yards, no touchdowns and just 8 fantasy points. That should change this week as the Browns look to get their season back on track against the 20th-ranked run defense per my NEFF ratings. With the Ravens scoring no more than 20 points in each of the last three weeks, the game script should suit Chubb seeing a monster workload this week and lots of lovely fantasy points for your DFS lineup.
Saquon Barkley @ Jacksonville Jaguars ($7,900)
Nick Chubb may be the rushing leader, but no one has more yards from scrimmage this year than Saquon Barkley this season. And with the Giants’ receiving corps still light on warm bodies, Barkley should continue to see 25+ touches as the Giants look to keep their winning run going. The Jaguars defense has been their strength, ranking 11th in NEFF through the first six weeks, but they don’t have an answer to a dominant Saquon, who should put up another big DFS day this week.
Leonard Fournette @ Carolina Panthers ($7,700)
Playoff Lenny has been on a tear the last three weeks, averaging 25 points per game including a massive 35.9 points in Week 5 against the Falcons. You have to love the match up against the Panthers, who rank dead last in my NEFF ratings overall and 24th against the run. In what looks like a one-sided encounter, Fournette should do the majority of the heavy lifting for the Bucs’ offense and is a good bet for a multiple touchdown haul and another 20+ point outing this weekend.
My Pick: Leonard Fournette
I love all of these players in this Sunday’s slate but feel the match up for Lenny is too good to turn down, especially given his recent production. Being the least expensive outlay as well gives my roster a little more flexibility as well.
