Welcome to kicker rankings and streamers for Week 6 fantasy football!
Week 5 was an historically bad week for the kicking position. Green Bay hospitals were overwhelmed with cheese-heads as Mason Crosby missed kick after kick before finally nailing the game-winner. Bengals fans could not be reached for comment.
The Texans’ Ka’imi Fairbairn did everything in his power to help Houston secure better draft position in 2022 by missing two extra points and a field goal. As a show of solidarity so rarely seen in today’s NFL, Patriots Kicker Nick Folk missed an extra point in support of Fairbairn.
Some might ask, was this the most kicks ever missed in a week? And, to that I say two things. First, good question there, Ricky. Second, that information is not easily available, so I’ll just say, definitively, yes.
We’re on to Week 6 with our kicker ranks, so take a look below. Any specific, burning start-sit questions not addressed with the 100% accurate ranks, don’t hesitate to reach out to me on the twittersphere.

Nick Folk vs Dallas Cowboys — The Patriots offense is about as bold as a loaf of Wonderbread, but this unabashed conservatism has been a boon for Folk. Despite the Patriots offense scoring the seventh-fewest points through five weeks, they sit at No. 2 in points scored by their kicking team. Folk is only rostered in 16% of CBS leagues before the waivers run Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, so take a look and pick up those extra points (its a kicker pun, yes.).
Evan McPhearson vs Detroit Lions — The football gods are, apparently, incensed by the Lions. Perhaps this is the long-awaited smiting due the Lions mainly for the mistreatment of Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson. Perhaps the football gods are punishing Dan Campbell for his secret unquenchable passion for all things Premier League? Regardless of why, the Lions have had their hearts broken week in and week out, several times that foot of the opposition’s place kicker. So why not pick up McPhearson and cash in on this statistical anomaly that is highly likely to not continue?
