Kicker Rankings & Streamers for Week 8 Fantasy Football

Jason Myers is a perfect kicker to stream this week vs the Jaguars. Full kicker rankings and top streamers for Week 8 fantasy football.

Week 8 fantasy football is here and it’s time for my kicker rankings and top streamers!

How many of you out there are going to roster (or have rostered) two kickers to get yourself through the bye weeks? Did you hang on to Buffalo’s Danny Rojas (AKA Tyler Bass) so you could start him against a Dolphins team who will go in to Week 8 as the team giving up the most opposing kickers (with the New Jersey Jets on bye, I’m handing that title to the Dolphins)?

It is not too often that we get the leading points scorer at a position facing the team giving up the most to that position, and boy, what more exciting position could we see that happen with than the kicker?

None.

None position.

Besides providing the absolute, unquestionable most-accurate kicker ranks for Week 8, I want to call out a couple of foot-ballers in particular who are worth streaming this week (% rostered via Sleeper leagues).

Jason Myers vs Jacksonville Jaguars (29% rostered)

The Jaguars are coming off of their bye week, and they’ll face the Russell Wilson-less Seahawks. Naturally, when you give up as many points as the Jags, you end up giving up a lot of points to the opposing place-kicker. It will be the mildest of interestings to see if what chemical reaction we get when we mix Geno Smith and a Jaguars D that made Tyrod Taylor look like Uncle Rico in his prime.

Nick Folk vs Los Angeles Chargers (39% rostered)

Folk continues to be the main ingredient in the Patriots’ recipe for wins. In the three games the Patriots won this year, Folk has averaged 12.6 points per game, never scoring fewer than 12 points in any win. The Patriots will travel to LA to face the Chargers and their bend-but-don’t-break defense.

Folk is ranked as a middle-of-the pack kicker for me this week because, on the one hand, we see the Chargers perfectly content to give up the short, underneath action to their opponents. Mac Jones and the Patriots offense seems to love nothing more than racking up air-yards three-yards at a time, and so I can see the Pats moving the ball and stalling out early and often against Joey Bosa and company. On the other hand, the explosive Chargers offense could put this one away early…

Let’s just hope the Pats D can keep this one close enough for Folk to get a few kicks in.
