NFL DFS Lineup Advice & Picks for Week 12

Building a successful Week 12 DFS lineup starts with stacking Cam Newton and Christian McCaffrey against the Dolphins.

How was your Week 11 in NFL DFS? Mine was a shocker as injury and low scoring games combined to give me my worst week of the season so far. My lineup for last week scored just 86.24 points, which included six of my lineup scoring under 10 points and Dan Arnold laying a goose egg. The only highlights were a solid 24.9 points from Christian McCaffrey and 25.3 points from Marquez Valdes-Scantling. I’m putting that week behind me and will go again in Week 12 and a new DFS lineup. I’ve selected my best DraftKings NFL DFS lineup for the Week 12 Sunday slate of games, breaking down my reasoning for selecting those players and hopefully helping you with your DFS selections for the week ahead.

Note: I’m setting my lineup based on the standard nine player, $50k salary cap setup for the Sunday slate of games, excluding Sunday Night Football.

Quarterback: Cam Newton @ Miami Dolphins ($5,600)

Cam was money in his first start last week as he finished as the QB4 with 26.2 points against Washington. He has another solid matchup this week against the Dolphins and with a healthy supporting cast around him, his $5,600 salary for this week is a bargain.

Running Back: Christian McCaffrey @ Miami Dolphins ($9,000)

I’m pairing CMC with Cam this week as the two of them have such a strong scoring potential against the Dolphins. Yes he’s top dollar from a salary perspective, but I’m happy to invest .

Running Back: Elijah Mitchell vs Minnesota Vikings ($5,400)

If I’m rostering CMC then I need value elsewhere and Mitchell has already proved he has high scoring potential. After missing last week he’s set to return against the Vikings and should look to command the majority of touches in the 49ers backfield.

Wide Receiver: Deebo Samuel vs Minnesota Vikings ($7,900)

With Elijah Mitchell back, Samuel should return to his more traditional role at receiver, though his ability to do it all should continue to be utilized. I’m really backing a big night overall for the 49ers’ offense and Samuel to lead the charge and keep up his WR3 pace.

Wide Receiver: Mike Williams @ Denver Broncos ($5,700)

Williams bounced back last week with a big game against Steelers and I’m backing him to follow this up this week against the Broncos. Williams is still the WR15 and sees a really consistent level of opportunity each week with touchdown upside.

Wide Receiver: Michael Pittman vs Tampa Buccaneers ($5,600)

Jonathan Taylor was all the Colts offense last week but Tampa offers an even higher level of run stopping ability and this should mean the Colts can attack the Bucs’ through the air. Pittman is NerdBall’s WR12 this week and I’m happy to roster him with his WR18 salary.

Tight End: Rob Gronkowski @ Indianapolis Colts ($4,400)

In his first game since Week 3 last week, Gronk caught six passes for 71 yards and carries no injury designation into the Week 12 match up against the Colts, who are 29th in fantasy points allowed to tight ends. Gronk will always get his share of the action from Brady and I’m feeling a touchdown from him this week.

Flex: Marquez Valdes-Scantling vs Los Angeles Rams ($4,100)

MVS was money for me last week and I’m backing his big play ability again this week.

D/ST: Houston Texans vs New York Jets ($2,300)

I’m going with ultra-value for my DST this week but feel pretty good about it. The Texans have 15 and 16 fantasy points in their last two games and face the league’s third worst offense with a returning Zach Wilson this week. Yes please.

Who are you rostering in your DFS lineups this week?
