NFL DFS Lineup Advice & Picks for Week 13

How was your Week 12 in NFL DFS? Mine was OK but ultimately unsuccessful as my 117.78 points was hampered by Christian McCaffrey’s season-ending ankle injury and a massive fall from grace for Cam Newton, who scored just 8.18 points after completing just five passes against the Dolphins. There was some good with the bad as Elijah Mitchell (30.80 points) had a strong return, Rob Gronkowski (22.30 points) was his usual dominant self, and Deebo Samuel (20.80 points) who was continuing his great 2021 until a groin injury cut short his day. We go again in Week 13 and a new DFS lineup. I’ve selected my best DraftKings NFL DFS lineup for the Week 13 Sunday slate of games, breaking down my reasoning for selecting those players and hopefully helping you with your DFS selections for the week ahead.

Note: I’m setting my lineup based on the standard nine player, $50k salary cap setup for the Sunday slate of games, excluding Sunday Night Football.

Quarterback: Tom Brady @ Atlanta Falcons ($7,200)

Brady’s fantasy scoring has been down in recent weeks compared to his pre-bye form, but the Falcons offer him the chance to hit the heights of earlier in the season. I have ranked Brady as my QB1 of Week 13 so to get him as the QB4 in terms of his DFS salary is something I’m very comfortable with this week.

Running Back: Jonathan Taylor @ Houston Taylor ($9,200)

Chalky play this week but there is no better running back in football at the moment and I’m happy to invest because of what I might miss if I didn’t start him.

Running Back: Jamaal Williams vs Minnesota Vikings ($5,400)

Another chalky play but Williams has always been a good back in his own right and took his chance well when D’Andre Swift went down last week. With him likely to shoulder the bulk of the work on the ground, as well as seeing 5-8 targets in the passing game, Williams could be a fantasy gold mine in Week 13.

Wide Receiver: Mike Evans @ Atlanta Falcons ($7,900)

Evans remains a boom or bust play most weeks but has good history against the Falcons and is the healthiest of the Buccaneers’ pass catchers. If I’m rostering Brady, I’m stacking Evans with him.

Wide Receiver: Marquise Brown @ Pittsburgh Steelesrs ($6,500)

Another boom or bust play but Brown has the raw speed to get behind what has been a porous Steelers secondary. He’s had 10 or more targets in each of his last four games so has that big game potential and I’m hoping this is one of those standout weeks.

Wide Receiver: Josh Reynolds vs Minnesota Vikings ($3,400)

Reynolds was money on Thanksgiving, catching three passes for 70 yards and a touchdown. I’m hoping it carries on this week as a value play and his long standing relationship with Jared Goff continues to see a high percentage of targets heading Reynolds’ way.

Tight End: Tyler Conklin @ Detroit Lions ($3,700)

I’m looking for a value play at tight end this week and Conklin has been a pretty consistent player this season. Like any value play, Conklin will be touchdown dependent this week but the opposition and opportunity means he stands a good chance to give me a good return for a relatively small investment.

Flex: Boston Scott @ New York Jets ($4,600)

Scott has carved out a nice role in the Eagles’ offense and should see extra opportunity this week with Jalen Hurts entering the game slightly banged up. He has four touchdowns on the season and against the last ranked Jets defense, should stand a good chance of getting into the end zone again this week.

D/ST: Miami Dolphins vs New York Giants ($3,300)

The Dolphins defense has been super strong in recent weeks and has beaten up on bad offenses. Facing the Giants’ bottom 5 offense who are starting Mike Glennon this week, I’m confident I have strong end to my Week 13 DFS roster.

Who are you rostering in your DFS lineups this week?
