NFL DFS Lineup Advice & Picks for Week 4

Building the best NFL DFS lineup for Week 4 starts with stacking the Buffalo Bills' passing game vs the Houston Texans.

How was your third week in NFL DFS? Mine didn’t quite go to plan in Week 3 as I leant heavily on the New York Giants vs Atlanta Falcons game and was stung by Danny Dimes and Kyle Pitts doing little, and Sterling Shepard going lame early with a hamstring injury. My running backs were good as Saquon Barkley (21.4 points), Austin Ekeler (22.7 points) and Cordarrelle Patterson in the Flex (16.2 points) all scored well, with the Cleveland Browns defense (16 points) the only part of my roster to get the fire symbol. We go again for a new week, so here is my best DraftKings NFL DFS lineup for the Week 4 Sunday slate of games, breaking down my reasoning for selecting those players and hopefully helping you with your DFS selections for the week ahead.

Note: I’m setting my lineup based on the standard nine player, $50k salary cap setup for the Sunday slate of games, excluding Sunday Night Football.

Quarterback: Josh Allen vs Houston Texans  ($8,000)

No brainer putting Allen in at QB this week. He was on fire against Washington last week and should continue to do so against a Texans team that is below average in allowing points to quarterbacks. With a stack of weapons at his disposal, plus Allen’s ability to run for scores himself, Allen is my QB1 in fantasy this week and an easy choice to lead my DFS team.

Running Back: Derrick Henry @ New York Jets ($8,800)

No A.J. Brown or Julio Jones means Henry is getting ALL OF THE TOUCHES for the Titans. The Jets could put all eleven defenders in the box every snap and I’d still be rostering Henry this week.

Running Back: Nyheim Hines @ Miami Dolphins ($4,900)

After a strong performance last week, Hines has another favorable matchup this week vs the Dolphins. With a floor of 10 to 12 touches and touchdown upside, as more of a value play this week to get Henry in the lineup, Hines has the the ceiling I’m looking for in a DFS play.

Wide Receiver: Stefon Diggs vs Texans ($7,600)

If I’m rostering Allen, I have to get Diggs in too. He’s not gone off for that huge score yet, but with double-digit targets coming his way, he remains the key player other than Allen in the Bills’ offense and the most likely to pop in any given week.

Wide Receiver: D.J. Moore @ Dallas Cowboys ($6,600)

Moore is quietly having another stellar season, and is currently the WR11 in fantasy. With no Christian McCaffrey, Moore will be the target leader in the Panthers’ offense and against a Cowboys offense that has allowed the second most passing yards through three weeks, should post his second consecutive 100-yard game and have WR1 upside this week.

Wide Receiver: Nick Westbrook-Ikhine @ Jets ($3,200)

You always need value in your DFS lineup and Westbrook-Ikhine provides that but with some opportunity to score well this week with both A.J. Brown and Julio Jones missing. He should see an uptick in the four targets he saw in Week 3. With the Jets likely to key in on Derrick Henry, Westbrook-Ikhine could see some favorable matchups to score from.

Tight End: Dawson Knox vs Texans ($3,600)

Knox has back to back games with a touchdown and I’m banking on him making it three in a row this week as more of a value play at tight end. He should see four to five targets and if he can turn one of them into a touchdown then I’ll be happy.

Flex: Quintez Cephus @ Chicago Bears ($4,000)

Cephus had a strong opening two weeks before seeing just one target in Week 3. I’m banking on a return to the six to seven targets he saw in those first two weeks, and if he can land me a touchdown as well then this value play has done what it needs to to support my lineup.

D/ST: Green Bay Packers vs Pittsburgh Steelers ($3,300)

Great value here in what look like a very one-sided match up. The Packers offense is humming and the Steelers is struggling to find any gear and have a banged up receiving corps and no running game. If the Packers get ahead early, then the defense can tee off on Big Ben and create turnovers. An easy selection to round out my lineup this week.

Who are you rostering in your DFS lineups this week?
