NFL DFS Pick One: Top Targets for Week 12

Tee Higgins, Deebo Samuel, or Mike Evans? Picking between similarly priced players at each position for Week 12 DFS fantasy football.

Welcome to Week 12 DFS Pick One where I run through a selection of similarly priced players on DraftKings from across the positions and pick the one I’d take when building my Sunday main slate lineups.

It was another mixed week last week for my picks, though Daniel Jones (24 points) and the New England Patriots DST (17 points) coming through for me, though I was let down by the concussion suffered by Joe Mixon, plus out of the blue big games from Amari Cooper and Najee Harris that took down Gabe Davis and Antonio Gibson’s days for me.

Onto Week 12 and again I’ve looked across the position groups for some enticing salary match ups to dissect and give my view on who to roster this week.

Quarterback

Justin Herbert @ Arizona Cardinals ($7,000), Tua Tagovailoa vs Houston Texans ($6,900) or Kyler Murray vs Los Angeles Chargers ($6,800)

My Pick – Kyler Murray

Tua remains my highest rated quarterback per my QPI ratings through 11 weeks but I like the match up for Kyler Murray better in what has the making of a shootout in the desert this week. Murray is back after a two-game absence and should have Marquise Brown as well as DeAndre Hopkins on the field which has some pretty big potential for offensive fireworks.

Running Back

Kenneth Walker vs Las Vegas Raiders ($6,900), Travis Etienne vs Baltimore Ravens ($6,700) or James Conner vs Los Angeles Chargers ($6,600)

My Pick – Kenneth Walker

James Conner is a solid option this week as the Chargers are the 27th ranked run defense per NEFF ratings but Walker vs the Raiders just has slate smasher all over it. The Raiders are my 31st overall ranked defense and rank 23rd against the run and have allowed at least 22 points to a bell cow running back in three of the last four weeks. Love this match up for Walker.

Wide Receiver

Tee Higgins @ Tennessee Titans ($6,900), Deebo Samuel vs New Orleans ($6,800) or Mike Evans @ Cleveland Browns ($6,700)

My Pick – Deebo Samuel

The 49ers offense is one of the hottest in the NFL right now and Deebo is poised to have a true breakout game after posting his second highest fantasy score of 2022 last week in Mexico. Yes there’s risk with all the mouths to feed in that offense, but its the cheapest he’s been priced in 2022 and I’m into buying low against a very average Saints defense.

Tight End

David Njoku vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($3,600), Mike Gesicki vs Houston Texans ($3,500) or Foster Moreau @ Seattle Seahawks ($3,400)

My Pick – Mike Gesicki

Gesicki is very much the third wheel in the Dolphins’ passing offense, but is always a threat in the red zone and offers value at the position this week if you’re looking to pay down at tight end. His 1.80 PER rating ranks top 5 among tight ends.

Defense/Special Teams

Atlanta Falcons @ Washington Commanders ($2,900), Kansas City Chiefs vs Los Angeles Rams ($2,800) or Cleveland Browns ($2,700)

My Pick – Kansas City Chiefs

This is an easy pick for a Chiefs team that has been firing up its pass rush with five sacks in back to back games and now faces one of the worst offensive lines and overall most disappointing offenses in the NFL in the Rams.
