Quarterback Rankings & Streamers for Week 17 Fantasy Football

Welcome to my quarterback rankings and top streamers for Week 17 fantasy football.

It was a polarising week for fantasy quarterback play in Week 16, with just 6 quarterbacks scoring more than 20 points. Even within those top scorers, there were only three true difference makers that would have given you an edge in your fantasy playoff matchup, with Joe Burrow, Dak Prescott and Josh Allen all scoring more than 30 points . In terms of my recommendations, my stream of the week Taysom Hill unfortunately was a late withdrawal due to covid so ended up being a void pick. My DFS start of the week was looking decidedly poor after the first half as Jalen Hurts struggled to get going against the Giants before finally putting up a pretty average 16.66 points as the QB13 of Week 16.

In the majority of leagues we should be into finals week in Week 17, so I’ve ranked the full slate of quarterbacks and have given my best streaming option should you need it (% rostered via Sleeper), plus my top DFS plays for the week ahead (price via DraftKings).

These rankings are subject to change throughout the week, so check back as any quarterback news drops to see how it is reflected in my rankings. If you have any specific quarterback rankings or starts and sits questions, drop them in the comments or you can get me @PaddiCooper on Twitter.

Stream of the Week: Ben Roethlisberger vs Cleveland Browns (26% rostered)

Like last week, if you really need a streaming option for your fantasy final then something will have gone pretty wrong for you. However if you are desperate, either for spot start due to a covid issue or as a QB2 in a 2- quarterback/Superflex league then Big Ben is worth a punt. In what is essentially a win or go home game for the Steelers, Roethlisberger is likely to throw a ton (he averages 37 attempts per game), and providing his receivers have a competent outing, that should translate into lots of lovely fantasy points for your championship winning team.

Alternative streamer – Davis Mills @ San Francisco 49ers (4% rostered)

DFS Play of the Week: Patrick Mahomes ($7,800) @ Cincinnati Bengals

For the first time this season I’m picking Mahomes for my DFS lineup. This game has the makings of a shootout between two of the leagues best young quarterbacks. Mahomes is averaging just under 25 points per games over the last three weeks and should have Travis Kelce back after missing Week 16, though Mahomes is happy to sling it all over the yard to his skill position players so I’m happy we’ll see more fireworks from him this week.

Alternative DFS play – Jalen Hurts ($6,600) @ Washington Football Team
