Running Back Rankings for Week 14 Fantasy Football

Welcome to the fantasy football Week 14 running back rankings hub!

With Indy’s Jonathan Taylor on bye, Najee Harris takes the overall top spot in the rankings this week. LV’s Josh Jacobs’ newfound passing game usage appears here to stay. Expect Carolina to establish the Chuba Hubbard and look elsewhere for help if you’ve got a Jets back on your hands.

Below are my top-60 running backs for Week 14. These rankings are geared toward .5PPR scoring formats for Week 14 of the 2021 NFL season but should aid those who play in both non-PPR and full-point PPR formats. I’ve also included my top RB streaming option this week and DFS play of the week (cost via FanDuel).

Check back throughout the week to see how expectations have changed as news continues to roll in, enhancing our prognostication abilities. Feel free to hit me up on twitter @Ginger__Nic for any fantasy related advice.

Stream of the Week: JaMycal Hasty at Cincinnati Benglas

Elijah Mitchell (concussion) is unlikely to play, Trey Sermon is on IR, and Jeff Wilson Jr.’s surgically repaired knee “flared up” in Week 13. FB Kyle Juszczyk will factor in from time to time but Hasty’s dual threat, bellcow usage against a Bengals’ front-seven that’s been worked over by dual threat RBs this year. Their 9.8 RB targets and 7.5 RB receptions allowed per game are both tops in the NFL, while their 55.1 RB receiving yards allowed are 4th most. It’s important to note that from late September to early November, before being temporarily sidelined with an ankle injury, Hasty was operating as the team’s designated passing game back, averaging 3 receptions and 4.25 targets per game. He’s a locked-in, mid-to-high RB2.

DFS Play of the Week: Jamaal Williams ($6,200) at Denver Broncos

Williams soundly led the backfield in rushing last week, taking 17 carries for 71 yards. He was definitively not the passing game back–that was Godwin Igwebuike– which was a disappointment. Still, Williams carries a reasonable Fanduel salary cap number at just $6,200 and his rostership is sure to be low after a ho-hum week. Fortunately he’s got a great matchup against the Denver Broncos whose front-seven has been decimated by injuries and trades, most notably all-star run stopper LB Alexander Johnson. Williams is a borderline RB1/2 in a nice bounce back spot.
