Running back Tevin Coleman has “an early edge” in the battle for starting back in the New York Jets backfield based on his familiarity with the offense (per Rich Cimini)
Fantasy Impact: Head coach Robert Saleh has commented on having a committee approach in the Jets’ backfield which of course isn’t the best fantasy news. The Jets backfield could have a lot of fantasy potential coming from the Kyle Shanahan system and whomever wins the starting gig could be in line for serious RB2 work, be that Coleman or rookie Michael Carter. It seems currently, Coleman is in the lead for that spot. He’s a great late-round flier in fantasy drafts.
