It’s time to take a look at Week 4 fantasy football tight end rankings because it’s Wednesday and what else have you got to do?
Did you spot-start Dalton Shultz and harvest that Monday Night Football double-dip? Me neither. Some of us did celebrate Mark Andrews’ return to the land of the living, and surely some lamented Rob Gronkowski falling off his two-touchdowns-per-game pace.
As we near the quarter-mark for the season (the 17 game season is wreaking havoc with our math…), we’re getting a pretty good idea who is playing a big role in their offense and who is on that long list of tight ends that might get lucky and catch a touchdown for us.
And to that end, here are the ranks and a couple notes.
Week 4 Standouts
Logan Thomas (TE7) — Despite the downgrade at QB, and the general malaise that has fallen over the entirety of Washington D.C., Thomas can still be a viable fantasy option. Thomas is still getting targets and getting targets in the red zone, queue his TD against the Buffalo Bills, a 2-yard TD pass from Taylor Heinicke. I wouldn’t start him over anyone I have ranked above him, but if you have Thomas on your team, you can stop worrying about finding something better on the waiver wire.
Kyle Pitts (TE16) — If you’ve been contemplating Kyle Pitts or Noah Fant, Robert Tonyan, Tyler Higbee… it’s time to move on. The Atlanta Falcons are lost, and barring a truly epic move like bringing in Cam Newton, the Falcons have been grounded.
Top Streamer
Tyler Conklin (TE17) — Conklin is only rostered in about 57% of Sleeper leagues. While his production has not been spectacular, he is being steadily targeted in an offensive scheme that produces value at TE. With the Vikings star-studded attack, you can see why defenses may be a little preoccupied with the likes of Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen, leaving plenty of room for Conklin to get us those scrappy TE points we crave.
