Week 16 fantasy football is here, and so it’s time to take a look at wide receiver rankings for the weekend.
Start Amon-Ra St. Brown. Ram-receivers Van Jefferson Jr. and Odell Beckham Jr. won’t see a dominant workload like Cooper Kupp but they will have highly productive outings against Minnesota’s atrocious secondary. Arizona’s Christian Kirk is a must-start WR2, operating as the Cards’ No. 1 pass catcher in DeAndre Hopkins’ absence.
Here are my .5PPR wide receiver rankings for 2021 Week 16. I’ve also got for you my top streaming option this week along with my favorite DFS play (salary via FanDuel).
Make sure to check back here throughout the week as I will be making sure to update them as quickly as possible with any new information. As always, if you have specific rankings or starts & sits questions, hit me up on Twitter @Ginger__Nic.
Stream of the Week: Amon-Ra St. Brown at Atlanta Falcons
The fact that ARSB is still a free agent in 70% of Yahoo! leagues is an indictment on the season-long fantasy community. The dynamic rookie slot receiver was hot off of fruitful, back-to-back 12-target outings before torching Arizona’s defense last week (11 targets, 8 catches, 90 yards, and 1 touchdown). Atlanta’s slot coverage has been among the league’s worst this year, hampered by injury but kneecapped from the beginning by a lack of talent. The young Lion is a mid-to-low fantasy WR1 this week.
DFS Play of the Week: Cooper Kupp ($9,800) at Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings’ secondary was among the league’s worst before they got fed up and cut starting CB Bashaud Breeland last week and they finished Week 15 bottom-5 as expected, having allowed 3,530 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns on the year. Fantasy’s top scoring WR is going to eat them alive. You do not want to be the person who leaves Kupp out of one’s lineup. Eat the chalk.
