Week 4 fantasy football is here and so it’s time to take a look at wide receiver rankings for the weekend.
Last week is what I get for putting Tyler Lockett as my WR1. We all know there’s no receiver who loves to be wildly inconsistent more than Lockett (except maybe Mike Evans). I should have know that even despite the hot start to the year, he would pancake against an easy opponent. Tale as old as time. Also round of applause for D.J. Moore for finishing exactly where I said he would.
Here are my .5PPR wide receiver rankings for 2021 Week 4. I’ve highlighted four standouts who I’m particularly high or low on this week, plus my top streaming option.
Make sure to check back here throughout the week as I will be making sure to update them as quickly as possible with any new information. As always, if you have specific rankings or starts & sits questions, drop them in the comments or hit me up @petemrogers.
Week 4 Standouts
Ja’Marr Chase (WR8) — Through three weeks, Chase is the WR5 in .5PPR. Ah how long ago it feels when we were all panicking about him being unable to catch a football. Chase as fallen right back into rhythm with Joe Burrow and the two are putting up numbers. Gotta love it when a top-5 fantasy receiver gets to go up against the Jacksonville Jaguars and their 32nd ranked pass defense (per NEFF rating). Full speed ahead!
Allen Robinson (WR21) — I have no idea where to rank Robinson. He should be higher now playing with a quarterback who can actually get the ball downfield. He should be higher playing against the Detroit Lions this week and their 29th ranked pass D. But he plays in a Chicago Bears offense that quite literally threw for one single yard of offense last week. I can’t rank him outside of WR2 territory but I don’t feel good ranking him close to WR1 status. UGH!
Michael Pittman (WR30) — Michael Pittman has finally arrived. In back-to-back weeks Pittman has seen 12 targets and has gone over 65 yards in each game. He’s locked-in as the Indianapolis Colts’ No. 1 WR in a solid matchup against the Miami Dolphins. The Fins are giving up the 13th most yards to wide receivers so far this year. Pittman is a must-start flex with WR2 upside from here on out.
Christian Kirk (WR31) — It’s time we give Christian Kirk the love and respect he deserves. While the Los Angeles Rams defense does boast Jalen Ramsey and his ridiculous 8.9 QB rating against, Kirk likely won’t be seeing much of the lock-down corner. Kirk operates almost exclusively out of the slot, leading the team in slot snaps. Chris Godwin just caught 6 balls for 74 yards against the Rams operating also out of the slot. Kirk is a must-roster and easy flex play this week.

Stream of the Week
Emmanuel Sanders (WR35, 37% rostered) — I originally had Emmanuel Sanders up in the standouts and then I saw HE’S STILL UNDER 40% ROSTERED ON SLEEPER! Easy choice as to whom my stream of the week is. Sanders has been a vital part of the Buffalo Bills’ passing attack, seeing at least six targets in every game. It should be another strong outing for the veteran receiver this week against the Houston Texans.
