Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 5 Fantasy Football

Deebo Samuel finds himself in yet another smash spot this week vs the Cardinals. Full wide receiver rankings for 2021 Week 5 fantasy football.

Week 5 fantasy football is here and so it’s time to take a look at wide receiver rankings for the weekend.

Last week I had no idea where to rank Allen Robinson and he ultimately did just what I thought he would which was nothing. Sigh. This week now that I’ve got him ranked so low, he’s definitely going to do something. Double sigh. Also, shoutout to Jakobi Meyers for finishing WR25 vs the Buccaneers, exactly where I ranked him.

Without further ado, here are my .5PPR wide receiver rankings for 2021 Week 5. I’ve also got for you my top streaming option this week along with my favorite DFS play (price via FanDuel).

Make sure to check back here throughout the week as I will be making sure to update them as quickly as possible with any new information. As always, if you have specific rankings or starts & sits questions, hit me up on Twitter @petemrogers.

Stream of the Week: DeVante Parker vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It hasn’t been flashy, but Parker has been a reliable WR3 in .5PPR so far this year. He’s quietly had at least 7 targets, 4 catches, and 40 yards in every game this season. Last week against the Colts was by far Parker’s best game of the year. The wideout caught 4-of-9 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown.

Parker gets to build upon that good week against a Buccaneers’ secondary that’s both banged up and surrendering the most PPR points to receivers this year. I’ve got him ranked within my top 40 this week and at 53% rostered in Sleeper leagues, he’s a great stream if you need a reliable fantasy receiver this week.

DFS Play of the Week: Laviska Shenault ($5,800) vs Tennessee Titans

I thought about putting Marvin Jones Jr. here but his salary is almost a thousand dollars more than Shenault’s. It’s been a slow start to the year for Shenault but his production last week against the Bengals was encouraging. With DJ Chark sidelined early in that game, Shenault became Trevor Lawrence’s go-to target downfield. He finished with 99 yards on 6 catches.

Against a Titans’ defense that’s giving up the most yards and touchdowns to wide receivers, Shenault has a good chance at returning WR2 upside at a discount price.
