Week 7 fantasy football is here and so it’s time to take a look at wide receiver rankings for the weekend.
Shoutout to Brandin Cooks for returning to the land of the living just as I thought he might. He led me to a couple DFS wins so I hope you followed along with me and fired him up at his relatively low cost. I assure you it’s not getting any lower now. Also CeeDee Lamb. Good on ya bud.
Without further ado, here are my .5PPR wide receiver rankings for 2021 Week 7. I’ve also got for you my top streaming option this week along with my favorite DFS play (salary via FanDuel).
Make sure to check back here throughout the week as I will be making sure to update them as quickly as possible with any new information. As always, if you have specific rankings or starts & sits questions, hit me up on Twitter @petemrogers.
Stream of the Week: Tim Patrick vs Cleveland Browns (45% rostered)
Patrick has been a master of consistency this year, averaging 10.8 .5PPR points per game. He’s tied for eighth in NECC rating among wide receivers. The fact that he’s still under 50% rostered in Sleeper leagues perplexes me. Even if you’re worried about his value dropping upon Jerry Jeudy’s eventual return, add him this week just for the stream.
The Browns come into Thursday night giving up the seventh-most fantasy points and tied most touchdowns to wide receivers over the last four weeks. Patrick’s consistency, paired with a good matchup, make him a lock to return high-end flex value this week.
DFS Play of the Week: Calvin Ridley ($7,300) vs Miami Dolphins
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Ridley play football. He missed Week 5 vs the Jets for personal reasons and the Falcons are coming off their Week 6 bye. It’s important to remember though that Ridley has started the year averaging 10.5 targets, 6.8 catches and 63.8 yards this season. Those numbers aren’t bad for someone who feels like he’s been a disappointment.
The Dolphins offer up a prime opportunity for Ridley to play like the elite WR1 we all know he can. Over the last four weeks, no defense is allowing more fantasy points to wide receivers. They just got lit up by the Jaguars’ abysmal passing game, allowing both Marvin Jones Jr. and Jamal Agnew to go over 75 yards receiving. Include Ridley in all your DFS lineups.
