We’re getting to the point of the NFL season where certain games will be played in what some call ‘real football’ weather. On Thursday night, the Packers will host the Titans to kickstart NFL Week 11 and it’s expected to be below-freezing weather in Green Bay.
It just so happens that both of these teams are built to run the football consistently. The Packers will likely deploy their tandem of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon while the Titans have arguably the most fearsome runner in the league in Derrick Henry.
Given the weather concerns and how these teams prefer to operate on offense right now, Thursday’s game has a projected total of only 41 points. Despite the expectations of a low-scoring affair at Lambeau Field, here are my favorite captain and flex plays for the Thursday showdown slate on DraftKings in Week 11.
Captain Spot Considerations
Derrick Henry ($17,400)
The entire offense of the Titans will go as far as Henry takes them. The bulldozing back owns a whopping 81.4% opportunity share (third-highest among RBs) as he’s carried it a league-high 202 times for 923 yards and 9 touchdowns. After being limited to 8.7 points on DraftKings in Week 10, Henry will face a Packers defense that is allowing 5.1 yards per attempt to RBs (fifth-most in the NFL). Henry is one of the only RBs that can be the top scorer despite not having consistent passing-game work.
Allen Lazard ($12,900)
Nearly all of Green Bay’s weapons on offense are questionable for Thursday’s game, so make sure to keep tabs on their statuses ahead of the contest. But if Lazard can suit up for the Packers, he’s primed for a productive outing against a below-average secondary of the Titans that’s allowing the fourth-most points per game to WRs thus far. Before seeing only 4 targets in Week 10, Lazard had five straight games where he saw 7-plus targets and he posted 13-plus points on DraftKings in four of those five games.
