Welcome to defense D/ST rankings and streamers for Week 7 fantasy football.
There were some better scoring for DSTs in Week 6, with six teams putting up over 10 fantasy points, led by the Rams with 16 points against the Texans (4 sacks, 4 turnovers, 11 points allowed). My stream of the week for Week 6 did OK, as the Bengals finished as the D/ST11 with 7 points, and my DFS play of the week did slightly better as the Vikings scored 9 points to finish as the D/ST7.
With an ever growing amount of tape and data at hand, I go again in Week 7 to bring you my D/ST rankings for the next round of match ups. I will continue to post my rankings each week, and give you a team you can look to stream, plus my favorite DFS plays for the week ahead. With a massive six team on bye this week, that means no Cowboys, Jaguars, Chargers, Vikings, Bills or Steelers to rank this week.
These rankings are subject to change throughout the week, so check back as any quarterback news drops to see how it’s reflected in my rankings. If you have any specific quarterback rankings or starts and sits questions, drop them in the comments or you can get me @PaddiCooper on Twitter.
Stream of the Week: New Orleans Saints @ Seattle Seahawks (25% rostered)
Fresh off a bye, the Saints are still the D/ST6 in fantasy despite playing one fewer game than all the teams above them. They are my second ranked defense per my NEFF ratings and face a Seattle offense that was average even with Russell Wilson healthy and dropped off last week with Geno Smith under center and no Chris Carson. If the Saints are sitting on your waiver wire, this isn’t just an add for this week but one I’d be comfortable running with for the rest of the fantasy season. Go get them now!
Alternative streamer – Las Vegas Raiders vs Philadelphia Eagles (11% rostered)
DFS Play of the Week: Arizona Cardinals ($3,100) vs Houston Texans
This game overall feels like a mismatch with the unbeaten Cardinals, who are 2nd in my overall team NEFF ratings and 3rd in defensive NEFF facing a Texans team ranked 29th overall with the 30th ranked offense. The Cardinals are at their highest price of the season but are still great value this week as the DST7 in DFS pricing, especially as they have three double digit fantasy scores already this season already. Low risk, high reward to finish off your DFS roster in Week 7.
Alternative DFS play – New York Jets ($2,400) @ New England Patriots
