NFL DFS DraftKings Pick One: Top Targets for Week 10

Pay up for Nick Chubb this week vs the Dolphins. Picking between similarly priced players at each position for Week 10 DFS fantasy football.

Welcome to Week 10 DFS where I run through a selection of similarly priced players on DraftKings from across the positions and pick the one I’d take when building my Sunday main slate lineups.

Last week, both quarterbacks (Joe Burrow and Geno Smith) and the Seahawks DST more than tripled their salary investments, Jaylen Waddle was more than 2.5 times his, and then there was Joe Mixon. Mixon was the slate breaker in Week 9, dropping five total touchdowns and over 55 fantasy points as the Bengals took down the Panthers. It wasn’t all sunshine though as I missed on Antonio Gibson (6.7 points), Jakobi Meyers (9.4 points) and Robert Tonyan (5.9 points).

Onto Week 10 and again I’ve looked across the position groups for some enticing salary match ups to dissect and give my view on who to roster this week.

Quarterback

Tua Tagovailoa vs Cleveland Browns ($6,700), Dak Prescott @ Green Bay Packers ($6,600) or Justin Fields vs Detroit Lions ($6,500)

My Pick – Justin Fields

Fields was the slate breaker at quarterback in Week 9, breaking the NFL quarterback rushing record and putting up over 45 points against the Dolphins. Fields gets an ever better match up this week against a Lions team that allows both the third most points to opposing quarterbacks and the third most rushing points. Even at an extra $1200 dollars salary this week, Fields could be the top play of any quarterback this week and not just from these three options.

Running Back

Derrick Henry vs Denver Broncos ($8,300), Nick Chubb @ Miami Dolphins ($8,100) or Dalvin Cook @ Buffalo Bills ($8,000)

My Pick – Nick Chubb

Its a toss up between Henry and Chubb from this group as they are the top two points per game running backs on the slate and both face average rush defenses per my NEFF ratings, with the Broncos rating 19th and the Dolphins 15th. I’m taking Chubb as he has been the more consistent performer, rating 2nd in my NECC fantasy consistency and efficiency rankings in 2022 (Henry 11th) and therefore has the higher floor for me this week, plus he’s had the additional rest after his bye week.

Dameon Pierce vs New York Giants ($6,300), James Conner @ Los Angeles Rams ($6,200) or Raheem Mostert vs Cleveland Browns ($6,100)

My Pick – Dameon Pierce

This is an easy one for me as the rookie goes from strength to strength as the bell-cow running back for the Texans and is averaging 18 fantasy points per game over the last six weeks. The Giants offer up a gettable bottom-10 run defense and in what looks like will be a low scoring game (O/U is currently 40.5), Pierce should see a high volume of touches again this week.

Wide Receiver

CeeDee Lamb @ Green Bay Packers ($7,000), Amon-Ra St. Brown @ Chicago Bears ($6,900) or Chris Olave @ Pittsburgh Steelers ($6,800)

My Pick – Amon-Ra St. Brown

St. Brown hasn’t hit the heights yet of his pre- injury form, but continues to be the target hog in the Lions offense when he’s on the field and is poised for another big week against the Bears average pass defense.

Courtland Sutton @ Tennessee Titans ($5,600), Darnell Mooney vs Detroit Lions ($5,500) or Adam Thielen @ Buffalo Bills ($5,400)

My Pick – Courtland Sutton

No team faces an easier strength of schedule of pass defenses for the resy of the season than the Broncos and up first is the Titans who are rated 26th against the pass and allow the 5th-most receiving points per game. I’m backing the Broncos to find their passing game form post their bye week and for Sutton to be the chief beneficiary, starting this week.

Tight End

Cole Kmet vs Detroit Lions ($3,400), Greg Dulcich @ Tennessee Titans ($3,400) or Dawson Knox vs Minnesota Vikings ($3,300)

My Pick – Greg Dulcich

Dulcich has emerged as a major target for Russell Wilson since making his long-awaited debut in Week 6, hitting double digit fantasy points in every game so far. With the Titans offering a below average passing attack, there’s the opportunity for a valiue stack with Courtland Sutton and Wilson ($5,900)  this week to provide some flexibility to the rest of your lineup.

Defense/Special Teams

New Orleans Saints @ Pittsburgh Steelers ($3,500), Kansas City Chiefs vs Jacksonville Jaguars ($3,400) or Los Angeles Rams vs Arizona Cardinals ($3,300)

My Pick – Kansas City Chiefs

I was tempted by the Saints against Kenny Pickett but they are so banged up this week I’m taking the Chiefs, who only rate as the 23rd best defense but with their number one offense I’m backing them to get out to a strong lead and then get after Trevor Lawrence and force some turnovers.
